According to a recent study by Coresight Research, a retail research and advisory firm, top-tier enclosed malls are flourishing, outperforming in occupancy, revenue, and foot traffic. A stroll around Lenox Square or Phipps Plaza validates the data: “Coming Soon” signs dot both.

Luxury fashion’s big bet on Atlanta
Recently, Givenchy opened an outpost at Phipps Plaza, the first for the brand in the city. Atlanta-founded label Bstroy debuted its capsule collection at the launch, which was attended by boldface names in entertainment, fashion, and culture such as Lil Yachty and Claire Sulmers. Says president and chief executive officer Renaud de Lesquen, “Opening in Phipps Plaza was a natural step forward for Givenchy. Atlanta is among the most vibrant metropolitan areas in America, and the House resonates particularly well with this diverse, creative, and dynamic market.” De Lesquen saw the opportunity many others see: All eyes are on Atlanta as a strategic setting for the evolution of a fashion brand.
Atlanta’s Lego Discovery Center reopens with new attractions—what to know before you go
After 10 years on the third floor of Phipps Plaza, the LEGO Discovery Center shut its doors for renovation in September 2022. Today, it reopens with four new activities, plus additional reinvigorated areas. The $5 million-dollar renovation covers more than 35,000 square feet and 10 zones ranging from building areas to a 4-D theater.
Phipps Plaza’s new GIVENCHY boutique features a local collaboration
GIVENCHY is the latest top luxury brand racing to open an Atlanta boutique, and they brought the home team with them. The store, which opened recently at Phipps Plaza, features a new collaboration with BSTROY, a brand cofounded by Atlanta natives Brick Owens and Dieter “Du” Grams.
The famed Nobu finally opens in Buckhead
With 50 locations around the world, master chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s eponymous Japanese restaurant has been attracting celebrities and foodies alike since the first one opened in Tribeca in 1994. On November 22, the modern hotspot backed by Robert de Niro launched in Buckhead on the lobby level of the 10,000-square-foot Nobu Hotel Atlanta.
Alon’s Bakery & Market opens a third location at Phipps Plaza
Alon Balshan is bringing his handmade pastries, fresh-baked breads, and gourmet sandwiches to Buckhead. A 5,300-square-foot Alon’s has taken over part of the former Twist restaurant space facing Peachtree Road in Phipps Plaza.
