A note from Sean McGinnis, President & Publisher:
In keeping with our commitment of providing a complimentary digital edition to our growing audience, we are excited to share with you the October issue of Atlanta magazine, digital download brought to you by Jack Daniel’s.
As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Atlanta Pride with this issue, Atlanta magazine is proud to host a series of virtual conversations in support of Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ community. We invite you to join us on October 7th, 14th, and 21st as our friend, Rich Eldredge, moderates these fun and enlightening conversations. We are grateful to our partners who are sponsoring this series and all of the digital extras we’ll be bringing you throughout the month. Please show your support by thanking our partners Absolut, Assurant, Your Atlanta Area BMW Centers, MARTA, Regions Bank, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and WarnerMedia for their leadership in diversity and inclusion.
This month, Atlanta magazine is also proud to be hosting our fourth annual GIVE Atlanta Challenge. In this issue, you’ll find profiles of thirteen hard-working Atlanta nonprofits that are making a tremendous impact on our community. October 7-23, these nonprofits will be participating in a friendly “challenge” to see which organization can raise the most money for their cause during the GIVE Atlanta Challenge. We encourage you to select a nonprofit that speaks to you, go online to giveatlanta.mightycause.com, and make a donation. All funds raised during the GIVE Atlanta Challenge stay with the nonprofits that are participating. Over the last three years, since the GIVE Atlanta Challenge was launched, this initiative has raised more than $1.2 million for dozens of deserving nonprofits. With a pandemic affecting every corner of our lives, these groups need our assistance now more than ever. Will you please help by making a donation?
We encourage you to continue engaging with us each month through our print and digital editions, and also be sure to sign up for our Daily Brief email newsletter. We remain committed to telling the stories of Atlanta that resonate with all of us and hope you enjoy this October issue. While we will always remain dedicated to delivering compelling stories in print, we are excited to bring you this digital edition as a complement to the print issue and, by so doing, extend our reach even further.
