Mara Shalhoup

Mara Shalhoup leads ProPublica's Southern bureau and was previously the deputy editor of Atlanta magazine. She was previously editor in chief of LA Weekly, Chicago Reader, and Creative Loafing, and is author of “BMF: The Rise and Fall of Big Meech and the Black Mafia Family.”
