Grant Henry is many things—former seminary student, proud father, civic developer, folk artist—and all of these roles coalesce magically at his bar. The wall space is covered with iconography: some of it funny, some of it offensive, all of it compelling, like a series of car accidents you can’t turn away from. (Is that really a baby crawling up a cross under a sign that says “Ladder of Success?”) Not only has Church fueled Edgewood’s resurgence, but Lady Gaga and Ben Stiller have been known to drop by.
