Now based in Athens, Georgia where she teaches writing classes from her home, Mark has experienced the many ups and downs that come with life. From dealing with rejection to navigating motherhood, her connection with fairytales offers a surprising, and perhaps healing, outlook on life’s troubles.

As the world’s largest Confederate monument, it is a sight that inspires, yet leaves one with the somber knowledge of its dark history.
